Masai Troutman has developed into a key contributor for Northeastern, showcasing steady growth and impressive performances throughout his collegiate career.

2024–25 (Northeastern)

Troutman appeared in 13 games and made five starts during the 2024–25 season, missing significant time due to injuries. Despite the setbacks, he averaged 13.5 points per game and reached double figures nine times. Troutman shot 44% from the field (50-of-115) and 40% from three-point range (19-of-48). His standout performance came on January 11 at Stony Brook, when he scored a career-high 22 points and went 14-of-15 from the free-throw line—tied for the 10th most makes in a single game in program history. He also recorded a career-best seven field goals against Delaware on January 2 and made a career-high four three-pointers at Northwestern on December 29.

2023–24 (Northeastern)

In the 2023–24 season, Troutman started all 32 games and averaged 28.5 minutes per contest. He ranked fourth on the team in scoring with 10 points per game while shooting 43% from the field. Troutman reached double figures in 17 games, including a season-high 17 points at La Salle on November 11. During CAA play, he started all 19 games, averaged 29.5 minutes per game, and finished second on the team with 31 steals, underscoring his defensive versatility and consistency.

2022–23 (Northeastern)

As a freshman, Troutman appeared in 27 games with nine starts, averaging 16.8 minutes per game. He contributed 6.3 points per game, ranking fifth on the team in scoring, and shot 37% from the field. Troutman reached double figures eight times, highlighted by a season-high 20 points on 6-of-9 shooting at Stony Brook on January 19. In conference play, he started eight of 17 games and averaged 5.8 points per game, establishing himself as a promising young player in the program.

High School

Before joining Northeastern, Troutman starred at St. Andrew’s Episcopal School, where he averaged 23.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.7 blocks, and 2.0 steals per game during the 2021–22 season. He scored a season-high 33 points against Flint Hill and helped lead his team to the MAC Championship game as a senior. His outstanding play earned him recognition on the Washington Post All-Met Fourth Team and the MAC All-Conference Team. On the AAU circuit, Troutman competed with Team Takeover on the Nike EYBL, gaining national attention for his two-way skill set.

Personal

From Frederick, Maryland…Troutman was rated as the third-best recruit in Maryland’s 2022 class by MaxPreps and received offers from several high-major programs, including Florida, Georgetown, and Indiana, before committing to Northeastern.
